  • ARCHIVAL GRADE 80 Minute Gold/Gold Digital-Audio CD-R Media. MAM-A brand.
  • These are the media needed for recording on Philips, Pioneer, Harman/Kardon, JVC & Marantz (and others) brands of home CD-Recorders. Known as Digital-Audio, these are the media supported by consumer audio-only cd-to-cd home recorders.
  • These consumer audio-only CD-R discs meet the standards of the Audio Home Recording Act (AHRA) of 1992, which requires a royalty to be paid by the disc manufacturer to the music industry. These CD-R's support the Serial Copy Management System
  • Sold in 100-Disc Shrinkwrap.
  • Thanks to Mitsui's patented organic Phthalocyanine dye, the most technically advanced dye in the world, and to the Gold reflective layer, MAM-A Gold CD-R gives an optimum recording quality and an unequaled precision. These characteristics make MAM-A Gold the ideal professional CD-R for mastering and professional archiving. Unlike CD-Rs containing Cyanine, which lose their characteristics more quickly from exposure to light and heat, MAM-A Gold CD-Rs ensure stability, exceptional longevity and durability as well as added protection from the reinforced Diamond Coat protection layer. Accelerated aging tests show that MAM-A Gold can be used as a reliable storage media for more than 300 years. All of the main components in the MAM-A Gold CD-R are very stable in the environment; plastic (polycarbonate), Phthalocyanine dye and gold (it NEVER oxidizes).
These discs have an unbranded, no-logo, matte-gold surface (the discs and packaging do not have the Digital-Audio logo). In the center hub, it reads, "MAM-A AUDIO 80MIN", which is the manufacturers way to indicate that these are Digital-Audio CD-R's.
